Today, Mike Cook TRS Treasure, and George Wysopal TRS President presented a check in the amount of $3,000 to the Community Food Bank of Amado. This donation was made possible via the very successful There Will Be Dust X held in Amado on November 19, 2022. Accepting the check are Food Bank representative Lillia Dawson (Volunteer Supervisor) and Roy Aguilar (Warehouse Manager). Saturday’s There Will Be Dust X was an absolute success. The event execution was nearly flawless due to the hard work of the TRS Planning Team. The staging accommodations at the Amado Territory were appreciated by all who were in attendance. Our good friends at the Longhorn Grill & Saloon once again did a marvelous job providing the lunch and dinner meals. Greetings and a sincere Happy Thanksgiving to all.On Saturday November 19th. TRS hosted the 10th running of There Will Be Dust (TWBD) out of the Amado Territory in Amado, Arizona. This year was special for several reasons. Saturday’s event was a milestone year being the 10th. It was held where it all began back in 2013, Amado Arizona. Next, TRS experienced a record attendance number for the event. When pre-registration closed, we had 130 riders on the entry list. And finally, and perhaps most important, the founder of TWBD, Steve Brown made a special appearance coming all the way from Oregon to ride and socialize with TRS. All,Gary Meeker and I learned last week that Mr. John Titre of the USFS, Nogales Ranger District, is taking a transfer to Utah on the Ashley National Forest near Vernal. This new assignment gets him back to where his career with the Forest Service began and closer to his grandkids. So, this is great news for John but not so much for TRS. If it was not for John, the Red Spring Trail most likely never would have been established. He was our moto trail champion. His work ethic while he was with the Nogales Ranger District is unmatched. We may never again see the likes of his dedication and support of our motorized interests. Tomorrow we will meet with…

A second Red Spring Trail maintenance ride is being planned. This time it will include much easier work to be done and more trail riding. No need for hiking shoes or heavy tools.The date will be this Sunday October 30, staging at the Hunters Access parking area, RTR at 8:30am.The primary objective is to trim back some recent tree and brush growth along some trails to be used in There Will Be Dust X.Here is an example of the hand tools to bring along. The red handled fold saw works great, the snippers is a second option but only for the really light stuff. If you have a roll of pink ribbon for trail marking, bring that too. Let me…
