Saturday’s There Will Be Dust X was an absolute success. The event execution was nearly flawless due to the hard work of the TRS Planning Team. The staging accommodations at the Amado Territory were appreciated by all who were in attendance. Our good friends at the Longhorn Grill & Saloon once again did a marvelous job providing the lunch and dinner meals. The raffle party under the big tent was a great way to end the day.Of course, none of this would have been possible without the fantastic TRS member’s volunteer support and the many business sponsors of the event. Greetings and a sincere Happy Thanksgiving to all.On Saturday November 19th. TRS hosted the 10th running of There Will Be Dust (TWBD) out of the Amado Territory in Amado, Arizona. This year was special for several reasons. Saturday’s event was a milestone year being the 10th. It was held where it all began back in 2013, Amado Arizona. Next, TRS experienced a record attendance number for the event. When pre-registration closed, we had 130 riders on the entry list. And finally, and perhaps most important, the founder of TWBD, Steve Brown made a special appearance coming all the way from Oregon to ride and socialize with TRS. All,Gary Meeker and I learned last week that Mr. John Titre of the USFS, Nogales Ranger District, is taking a transfer to Utah on the Ashley National Forest near Vernal. This new assignment gets him back to where his career with the Forest Service began and closer to his grandkids. So, this is great news for John but not so much for TRS. If it was not for John, the Red Spring Trail most likely never would have been established. He was our moto trail champion. His work ethic while he was with the Nogales Ranger District is unmatched.
