H.R. 2540, the bipartisan Food and Fuel Consumer Protection Act of 2019, introduced by U.S. Reps. Bill Flores (R-TX) and Peter Welch (D-VT), would cap the volume of ethanol blended into the nation’s fuel supply at 9.7 percent of the total volume of gasoline. The American Motorcyclist Association supports this bill and other efforts to reform the Renewable Fuel Standard.

Senate Bill 1527 has five sponsors, many more needed
The federal Recreational Trails Program has used off-highway vehicle
users’ federal gas taxes to fund more than 24,000 trail projects
nationally since 1992. It is clearly one of the best tools we have to
help fund trail construction and maintenance.
Only about $84 million of the estimated $270 million collected

The Office of United States Trade Representative has proposed 100 percent tariffs on motorcycles imported from countries in the European Union with an engine size between 500cc and 700cc, along with parts and accessories.
The AMA is joining others in the motorcycling community to oppose the

motorcycles, parts and accessories.

The Office of United States Trade Representative, as part of a dispute over aircraft subsidies, has proposed 100 percent tariffs on motorcycles imported from countries in the European Union with an engine size between 500cc and 700cc, along with parts and accessories.
The American Motorcyclist Association is joining others in the
motorcycling community to oppose the USTR’s latest ill-conceived
proposal. Motorcyclists should not be penalized with exorbitant tariffs
because of an unrelated trade dispute. Any trade sanctions imposed as a
result of this dispute should come from more closely related industries
To oppose this tariff, the AMA is asking our members to sign this petition.
