RST Work ContinuesOn Monday April 15th. 4 TRS members spent the day on the RST clearing rocks and cutting branches on trail #6840. We also sent time monitoring the safety of Rob our excavator operator. He began cutting trail on a long side hill section. This trail will be about 1 mile in length. The views from this trail are most likely the best of the entire trail system. The panoramic view is incredible. George Wysopal6 years ago

Redington Pass, Chimney RockOn Thursday of this week, during the quarterly meeting TRS attends with the Coronado National Forest Supervisor, it was mentioned OHV users are riding on the large rock formation affectionately know as Chimney Rock. This rock formation (adjacent to FS Road 4431) has been signed and fenced as off limits to OHV use several times over the years, only to have the signs shot up or removed entirely and the fence taken down. There is a significant reason for keeping off the rock formation; it is a nesting area for eagles. So please spread the word, and respect this area by not riding your dirt bike, jeep, truck or side by side on the Chimney Rock formation. The Catalina Ranger… George Wysopal6 years ago

Red Springs Project(CHECK YOUR EMAIL FOR GREATER DETAIL) It’s now official. The contractor starts on April 1st, no joke. Because we got the word yesterday, George and I laid down the first moto tracks on a few sections of trail today. Just because we could. Thanks to all that have come out and helped with the project. Now if we could just get the cows to stop eating our ribbon. There will be opportunities later in April for all to help, but the first burn in rides are reserved for the members that have come out to help in the past few years. So our first chance to start burning in a select set of sections is this Sunday. March 31st. Meeting… George Wysopal6 years ago
