A “newbies” ride on Willow Springs Road [at AZ77] to Freeman Road to the Arizona Trail, Trailhead and back. Roughly 50 miles. This is hard pack, with some gravelly spots, two-lanes wide and very rideable even if you’ve never been off the pavement before. It’s also very two-up friendly if you’d want to bring a friend along. The idea would be to start mid morning, finish up at noon or so, and then go to Catalina for lunch. It’s a great introduction to off-roading, and fun for folks on big bikes. Meet at the Valero Station at Oracle and Golder Ranch Road at 10:00 a.m.
