What do I get for my entry fee?

Your entry includes a free Continental Breakfast Saturday morning at the Longhorn Grill and Saloon, free lunch Saturday provided by the Longhorn, free dinner Saturday at the Longhorn, and one free raffle ticket. A part of the proceeds from the entry fee benefits the Amado Food Bank.

Can I register on the event weekend?

NO. You must register on line.

When can I check in?

You can check in Friday from 4:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Saturday morning from 6:00 a.m. to 7:30 a.m. There is NO same day registration.

Where can I stay? Is there camping available??

Unsupported Camping: There will be unsupported camping available on the grounds of the Amado Territory Inn [3001 I-19 Frontage Rd, Amado, AZ 85645, on the other side of I-19 from the Longhorn] Cost is $10.00 per vehicle per night. Fee will be collected by TRS at Rider check in.

Open fires are NOT permitted. Small propane rings are OK, if monitored. Camping area will be marked with caution tape. Please stay inside the taped area. Bathrooms will be available near the camping area. Campers are not allowed in B&B building. A trash dump will be availableNO riding allowed in camping area. Motorcycle riding permitted ONLY to enter and exit. 5 mph please. 

Dispersed Camping is available: There is camping available nearby on Arizona State Trust Land (a AZSTL Recreation Permit required) and USFS Managed Land. GPS coordinates: 31.655581, 1111.062973

When will I know the routes?

The GPX files will be sent about a week before the event.

  • Route Distances:
    • Adventure Bike (V-Strom, BMW friendly) = ~160 miles.
    • Dual Sport (KLR Friendly) = ~130 miles. (some on dirt road or pavement)
    • Dirt Bike (Yamaha 250, KTM 450) = ~110 miles. (dirt roads, single track & limited pavement)

Will I need to bring extra fuel?

There will be service stations along the routes. There will NOT be gas available in Amado at the start.

Can I park my truck/trailer at the start?

There will be first come – first served parking along the street beside and across from the Longhorn. There will be VERY limited space for large campers or toyhaulers.

Can my friends or family hang out at the start/finish?

Sure. Just remember that if they want to eat with you they’ll have to buy a ticket. $12.00 for lunch. $25.00 for dinner.

Will there be support along the courses?

There will be sweep riders on the dirt bike and dual sport courses. They will not be able to provide significant mechanical support. You should plan to be self sufficient (extra tube, tire tools). Please check in with a TRS Crew Volunteer when you finish, or if you have to drop out. We don’t want to be worrying about you only to find out you’re on your 3rd beer at the Longhorn.
