Ride Date: Saturday November 23, 2019. Single day ride only this year.
Staging Location: The town of Patagonia Arizona. Situated at over 4,000 feet elevation between the Santa Rita Mountains and the Patagonia Mountains in the riparian corridor of Sonoita Creek, Patagonia is spectacularly rich in natural resources. The Town Council has graciously allowed TRS to use a public access open space located at the intersection of McKeown & 4th Street.
The Routes:
- Adventure, the really big bikes.
- Dual Sport, big bikes.
- Dirt Bike, little bikes that have been made street legal (rider’s responsibility, no inspections)
TRS has selected routes that are first and foremost fun. We have avoided anything that by most riders would be considered technically challenging. There will not be any wash sections to traverse.
Special Singletrack Section This Year! : The Dual Sport and Dirt Bike routes will take you through a 7-mile sample of the newly created Red Spring Trail, single-track area in the north end of the Tumacacori Mountains. This 25 mile trail system was created through a partnership with the Forest Service and TRS with AZ State Parks and Trails OHV program providing the needed funds. More info to come on this!
Camping available: The Town Council has graciously allowed TRS to use a public access open space located at the intersection of McKeown & 4th Street. Area large enough to accommodate RVs, Toyhaulers, tents, etc.
Hotel/AirBnB: Patagonia has one hotel and multiple Airbnb options. Google for more information. Book early as lodging options fill quickly!
Event fee for riders: We are working that now as we weigh the dining/catering/venue options. We are a non-profit club run by volunteers and just need to cover our costs with a small donation to the local foodbank. Ticket costs will be comparable to last year (`$85).
