It’s now official. The contractor starts on April 1st, no joke.
Because we got the word yesterday, George and I laid down the first moto tracks on a few sections of trail today. Just because we could.
Thanks to all that have come out and helped with the project. Now if we could just get the cows to stop eating our ribbon.
There will be opportunities later in April for all to help, but the first burn in rides are reserved for the members that have come out to help in the past few years.
So our first chance to start burning in a select set of sections is this Sunday. March 31st.
Take I19 south to exit 40, Chavez Siding Road, which is just past the Border Patrol Check Point. Right and right onto the frontage road and go about .3 miles north and turn left onto the dirt road. Sign says Hunter Access, it’s easy to miss this. Take the dirt road about .1 miles west and turn left into the parking area. Unload here.
