Red Spring Scouting Hike, this Saturday, March 27th. This will be a scouting hike on a section that is planned to be a flow trail, no nasty stuff, higher speed. Part of what will become a really nice easier loop around the southern end of the trail system.
Meeting Place: at the staging area right off the frontage road. (aka Mt Bike Stage)

RTR: 8:00am

Bikes are suggested due the distance on dirt roads required to get to the locations. But a Truck, Side By Side would also work, just slower and not as much fun. The northern start point is about 13 miles on FSR 684, the southern start point is about 17 miles.
The plan is to split into 2 groups, one headed south and another headed north. The proposed trail is in red.Would like to have around 4 volunteers in addition to George and I. We will also be passing on lessons learned from the single training class.

What to bring, hiking shoes to change into, long pants and jersey, snacks, hydration, hat, lock for your bike. 
Each group will be hiking around 3.5 miles cross country.
