AMRA Round # 4 – Copper Classic Sprint Enduro – March 7, 2026

General Race Information:

Entry Site Location: San Manuel Az. Drive to the intersection of South McNab Pkwy & Erickson Ave. (GPS 32.597543, -110.632245), then follow the signs to the race campus. Access race campus from Erickson Avenue only. 

Pre-registration opens February 16, closes March 5.

The Copper Classic is an AMRA and AMA sanctioned event.

  • All racers including Mini’s must possess AMRA & AMA memberships.
  • Enduro style rows numbers will be issued at Registration / Check-in. (AMRA numbers won’t be used.)
  • Livelaps transponders will be used for all races, included Mini’s.
  • Live engine start for all big Bike race tests starts.
  • Mini Race #1 live engine start.
  • Mini Race #2 will be a dead engine start.
  • AMRA Big Bike Classes & Divisions as listed in the AMRA Supplemental Rule Book.
  • No pre-running the racecourse on a dirt bike or ebike. Walking or pedal bike is allowed.
  • No jetting loop, come prepared. Elevation is ~3500’.
  • No pit bikes, ATV’s, Side by Sides, electric or pedal assist bicycles allowed on the race campus, race bikes only. 
  • 5 MPH on the entire race campus strictly enforced.
  • Any course cutting will result in a DQ. 
  • Yellow / caution tape & and arrows on either side of the single track means no course cutting in that section. Race must race between the arrows. 
  • Quiet Hours 10pm – 6am Friday March 6th & March 7th.  (especially generators, music, & bikes).
  • No open alcohol or guns allowed on school property.

Fees

  • Pre-registration available from February 16th to March5th. (http://www.amraracing.com).
  • Big Bike $95 pre, day of race $95, AA Pros $120. Mini’s $35, Sportsman $50 and Vintage $50.
  • Transponders for “Livelaps” scoring, $10.
  • Memberships available at the event. AMA (Day Pass $25, Annual $49) & AMRA ($20 Day, $40 Annual).
  • NO CHECKS ACCEPTED AT REGISTRATION – Cash, PayPal, VENMO or ZELLE accepted.
  • No Gate fees. Camping fee donation is optional.  Cash only for a camping fee donation.

Big Bike Race Details:

  • Format is a Sprint Enduro. 
  • There are 3 independent Test. (Test #1, Test #2, Test #3). Completing the 3 tests = 1 Circuit. No Transfer sections inside the test loops. 
  • The race will use a staggered start based on class.
    • Start Times: A’s at 11:00 AM, B’s 1:00 PM C’s 3:00 PM.
    • A’s will do 9 tests   = ~33.5 race miles (3 circuits)
    • B’s will do 9 test     = ~ 33.5 race miles (3 circuits)
    • C’s will do 6 test     = ~ 22.5 race miles (2 circuits)
  • Live engine start at all tests.
  • 1 racer at a time will be sent into all tests with 15 seconds intervals between racers. 
  • There will be a time out for each class announced at the riders meeting.
  • Unsupported OPTIONAL GAS ONLY Pit Row adjacent to the start area of Test #1. The area will be restricted to racers only. No pit crew, spectators, pop-up tents, or chairs.  
  • Riders are allowed to return to their camp to refuel, perform maintenance before re-starting any test. 
  • There could be both pink and orange marking arrows on portions of Test #1. 

Check-In Hours:

  • Friday March 6th, 5:00 – 8:00 PM.
  • Saturday March 7th 6:00 – 9:30 AM.
    • Mini March 7th 6-7 AM, priority process for Minis during these hours.  

Tech Inspection:

  • All bikes, Friday March 6th, 5:00 – 8:00 PM.
  • Saturday March 7th 6:00 – 10:00 AM.
    • Mini’s March 7, 6-7 AM, priority access for Minis during these hours
    • NOTE: Mini Tech & Check-in & Registration will close at 7:00 AM Saturday.
  • All bikes, Mini’s included, MUST have an USFS approved spark arrestor and must pass a sound test 96dba. 
  • Required Items: Sound Test -96db, USFS approved spark arrestor, kill switch, helmet compliant with AMA standards, Goggles (no tear-offs), Chest protector for Youth racers.
  • No refund for failing. 

Mini Riders Meetings & Race Start Times:

  • All Mini racer riders meeting Saturday March 7th 7:45 AM at the Mini Start area,
  • Mini Race #1 racing starts at 8:00 AM. A live engine start. Course length ~0.8 miles. A flag is waved at 30 minutes.
  • Mini Race #2 racing starts 9:00 AM. A dead engine start. Course length ~3.4 miles. A flag is waved at 45 minutes. 

Mini Race Groupings

  • Race: #1 All 50cc (4-8), 65cc (7-9). 
  • Race # 2: 65cc (10-11), 65cc – 85cc (11-14) Girls, 85cc (9-11), 85cc (12-14) Supermini (12-16)

Big Bike Riders Meetings & Race Start Times:

  • Mandatory Big Bike racer meeting Saturday March 7th at 10:15 AM. Meeting location is near the Registration & Check-in area.
  • Big Bike racing starts for AA’s & A’s at 11:00 AM Saturday March 7th.
    • B’s will start at 1:00 PM
    • C’s will start at 3:00 PM
    • Adjustments to start times for all races subject to change. Any time changes will be announced prior to race day.

T-shirts:

  • Will be sold near the Check-in/Registration area. Price is $20.

Safety:

  • No racing in transfer sections or anywhere on the race campus. 5 MPH Speed limit in all Transfer sections and on race campus.
  • A spectator area will be set up to view the Big Bike race starts. Spectators must stay behind any safety barriers and follow instructions provided by TRS race personnel.
  • Any racer who DNF’s for any reason or receives medical attention or is injured while on the racecourse must report back to the Registration area after returning to the race campus.
  • No one is allowed past the school building perimeter walls or fence, except during the Big Bike Riders meeting.
  • No dirt bikes allowed in the Big Bike spectator area.
  • Unsupported OPTIONAL GAS ONLY Pit Row adjacent to the start area of Test #1. The area will be restricted to racers only. No pit crew, spectators, pop-up tents, or chairs. 
  • No spectators or pit crew, race team members are allowed in the race Gas Only Pit, Start lines, EnduroCross lane, Log Hop, or Finish Check/Scoring areas. Spectators must stay completely outside the safety barriers in these areas and observe instruction given by TRS personnel. 
  • Any violations by a racer or someone associated with a racer of the above Safety list is subject to a racer being DQ’d or issued a minimum 5-minute scoring time penalty.
  • Racers are responsible for their associated support crew family and friend’s behavior.
