There Will Be Dust – Call For Volunteers
In order to make our There Will Be Dust XIII a success, club volunteers, family and friends are needed. Below is a list of activities that are available to volunteers. Some take place weeks prior to the event while others the day before, of and after the event.
Week(s) before the Event:
- Proof the 3 routes, Adventure, Dual Sport Mild, Dual Sport Hard – dates TBD.
- Prepare rider check-in packages to be issued at check-in on Friday – Saturday, Nov. 21-22.
Friday Day Before of the Event:
- Transport the TRS 14′ enclosed trailer to Patagonia, deliver it by 9:00 AM.
- Setup the Check-in location in Patagonia, starting at 10:00 AM.
- Setup the camping/large vehicle parking area located off Harshaw Rd. in Patagonia, starting at 10:00 AM.
- Provide traffic/parking control at the camping/large vehicle parking area located off Harshaw Rd., starting around Noon until dusk.
- Operate the Check-in process starting at 4:00 PM, ends at 6:00 PM.
Saturday, Day of the Event:
- Operate the Check-in process starting at 6:00 AM, ends at 8:00 AM.
- Provide traffic/parking control at the camping/large vehicle parking area located off Harshaw Rd., starting at dawn until 8:00 AM.
- Check-out riders as they leave town after the Riders Meeting, 8:15 AM until the last rider leaves, usually 8:30 AM.
- Clean up the check-in area after all riders have left, 8:30 AM – 9:00 AM.
- Sweep Riders for all routes. Starts after the last riders leave Patagonia.
- On-call recovery vehicle team. Preferably using a pick-up truck.
- Check-in riders as they arrive for lunch at the Ranch House 10:30 AM until 1:30 PM.
- Serve the lunch meal at the Ranch House.
- Check-in Rider after the ride in Patagonia 2:00 PM until 5:00 PM.
- Set-up for the dinner meal & raffle party at the Wild Horse Restaurant in Patagonia, 4:00 PM until 5 PM.
- Sell raffle tickets at the door of the restaurant, 5:00 PM.
- Help with the raffle party, 6:00 PM – 7:00 PM.
Sunday, Day After the Event:
Clean up and pack up.
Transport the TRS 14′ enclosed trailer to Tucson.
