TRS 2024 Accomplishments

So, What Did You Do Last Year to Promote Dirt Bike Riding in Southern Arizona in 2024? Here is what TRS was up to.

• Continued our strong commitment to and participation in the quarterly OHV Partners meeting with the Coronado National Forest Supervisor and his staff.
• Maintained planning dialog with the USFS on 2 single-track project proposals; Patagonia Mountains and Red Spring Trail Phase II.
• Completed a grant from Az. State Parks & Trails OHV Program for the installation of an information kiosk at the Red Spring Trail trailhead.
• Performed ~120 hours of volunteer work on the Red Spring Trail.
• Celebrated our club’s 20th anniversary.
• Issued a 20th Anniversary riding jersey.
• Dozens of club rides held throughout Arizona and Colorado.
• Members participated in the AMRA racing series.
• Hosted the 18th running of the San Manuel Copper Classic.
• Donated $5,000 to the San Manuel Schools and $1,500 to the San Manuel Fire Department post the Copper Classic race.
• Hosted the 12th running of There Will Be Dust recreational trail ride/dual sport food bank fundraiser.
• Donated $3,000 to the Food Bank of Amado, post There Will Be Dust.
• Held monthly club meetings at AZKKT & CSA.
• Participated in a USFS lead, trail building course and built a reroute to a section of the Red Spring Trail.
• Participated in an OHV recreation video shoot with Arizona Highways, Arizona State Parks and Trails OHV Program and TREAD Lightly. This was held at the Red Spring Trail and focused on enjoyment of dirt bike riding. A full feature video on this subject will be released by the Spring of 2025.
• TRS was the recipient of a Willingham grant to support the 2025 Copper Classic.
• Kicked off preparations for the 2025 Copper Classic.
